This group helped out as part of the Jewish Federation of Ottawa’s 8th
Annual Mitzvah “Good Deeds” Day.
Mitzvah
Day is all about imaginative, hands-on projects that play a pivotal role in
building a stronger community -- one good deed at a time. Regardless of
age, gender or affiliation – people can donate their time and energy to a
diverse range of vital causes that make a tangible difference for those in
need.
Each day
during the weekend, 25 volunteers from community organizations serve the over
1600 most vulnerable men and women in the city of Ottawa that come through the
doors of Shepherds of Good Hope.
